Description

Think fast. Act smart. In the Business Case Quickfire Challenge, members will form their own small teams (2–3 people) to tackle a real-world business problem. Each team will receive a case scenario — such as saving a struggling company, marketing a new product, or solving an ethical dilemma — and have time to brainstorm and present their solution through a slideshow.

Goals

  • Strengthen problem-solving and teamwork skills
  • Gain experience in business decision-making and presentation strategy
  • Compete for prizes and club-wide recognition

How It Works

  1. Teams of 2–3 will be formed
  2. Each team will be emailed a unique business challenge and their Case Number after they register
  3. You'll have nearly a month to analyze, plan, and build your solution
  4. Teams deliver a 7–10 page slideshow
  5. Judges (business owners) will score creativity, feasibility, clarity, and slideshow requirements

Slideshow Requirements

  1. Title Slide — Team Name, Member Names, Case#, Title
  2. Problem Overview — Briefly describe the company's challenge
  3. Analysis — Identify key issues using evidence or logic
  4. Proposed Solution — Explain your business idea or strategy
  5. Implementation Plan — How the solution will be executed (timeline, resources, etc.)
  6. Conclusion — Summarize your plan and why it works best
  7. Appendix Slide(s) — Graphs, Charts, Tables, etc.

Submission Steps

  1. Email calhighibm@gmail.com a PDF of your slideshow
  2. Title your email with the format: TeamLeadName.TeamName.Case#
